If you want the best on your bed, this is it. Over 900 grams per square metre of wool is used to manufacture the Golden Fleece – pure luxury and comfort. In fact it has 50% more wool than necessary to meet the Woolmark standard.

The Golden Fleece is sliver knitted, using a combination of Merino and Downs wool.    Downs wool gives the product its bounce-back quality, while the Merino wool gives it a soft luxurious feel.  As well as the ultimate in comfort, the Golden Fleece also looks classy, being beautifully bound around the edges, with 100% cotton japara backing.

This has been our premium product for 35 years, and until we developed the elite Golden Fleece, the Double Fleece was the best you could buy on the market.
Approximately 600 grams of wool per square meter is used to make a Double Fleece. .
Woolrest is the originator of the woollen underlay. We have spent four decades trialling the various types of wool, and developing a special blend that gives maximum support and comfort, with durability and performance.

Our wool blend is our own creation and not available anywhere else on the NZ market. It is a blend of Merino and Downs breeds, specially selected for their comfort, strength and performance. Merino wool alone does not have the durability and strength of the downs wool.
